The habit of reading is the best thing to inculcate

I’ve lately turned into the person who loves to read and I honestly realize how much time I have wasted by not reading. Now I really wish Amaira picks up this habit of reading. To inculcate the same, ever since she was small, I’ve been trying to get different books for her.

I’m always on a search for interesting books for Amaira. She specifically lives books with bright pictures.

I got my hands on this amazing book by @tulikabooks a few days and read it out to Amaira last night. This story is about two daughters who wish to see their Ammi in a saree that she weaves for others.

Ammi weaves the most beautiful sarees, but never gets to wear any of them! Her two little daughters decide to do something about it – break their piggy bank! But is there enough in it to buy Ammi her very own saree? This gentle story goes into the home of a weaver’s family, and lets warmth and affection add colour to their lives. The visuals present in the book are super engaging and colourful, keeping the interest of children intact. The words have been kept simple enough for children to understand. It’s meant for kids 5+ years of age. You can purchase the same @tulikabooks

If you have books from tulika books too then do let me know in the comments below and before you leave, don’t forget to check out my latest post right here.
