Tips to improve your lifestyle

How healthy are you actually? Do you really have a diet that contributes to your health? Do you exercise regularly everyday? Do you drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day? Do you get enough sleep every day? All in all do you live a healthy lifestyle?

Our body is our temple and we really need to take care of it. Did you know that over half of people over the globe are either obese or overweight? That’s insane! Think of your body as your physical shell to take you through life. If you repeatedly abuse it, your shell will wear out quickly.

Life is beautiful and you don’t want to tire yourself down with unnecessary health problems every other day. Today, your vital organs may be working well, but they may not be working the same tomorrow. Don’t take your health for granted even for a day. Take proper and good care of your body.

Good health isn’t just about just healthy eating and exercise — it’s also about having a positive attitude, a positive self-image, and a healthy lifestyle in general. Here are a few tips that would help you improve your lifestyle. This is something I personally practice too.

Drink more water than usual. A lot of us don’t drink enough water every day. Water is very essential for our bodies to function. Did you know over 60% of our body is made up of water? Water is needed to carry out daily body functions, to remove waste, and to carry nutrients and oxygen around our body. Since we lose a lot of water daily through urine, bowel movements, perspiration, and breathing, we need to replenish our water intake for the same.

Get enough sleep everyday. When you don’t rest well, you compensate by eating a lot more than usual. Usually, it’s junk food in most cases. Get enough rest and you don’t need to snack to stay awake. Also, lack of sleep causes early aging and you don’t want that! Checkout Maxim Gorin

Do Meditate. Meditation quietens your mind and calms your soul. As it is said, it is food for your soul. If you don’t know how to meditate, don’t worry. Just take out 10 min alone and sit in a quite place. Think positive.

Work out for different parts of your body. Don’t just do cardio (like jogging). Give your body a proper full body workout. The easiest way is to engage in sports since they work out different muscle groups. Popular activities where you can get a good body workout are running, walking, hiking, swimming, basketball, tennis, squash, badminton, yoga.

Eat a lot of fruits. Fruits have a load of vitamins and minerals. Do you know that oranges offer more health benefits than actual vitamin C pills? As much as it is possible, consume your vitamins and minerals through your diet rather than through having pills. I personally eat a variety of fruits every morning and they make me feel good. Treat your palate with these nutritious fruits: Banana, Papaya, Kiwi, Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, Watermelon, Honeydew, Peach, Apple, Grapefruit, Pomelo, Mango, Orange.
