Are using bottle warmers safe?

When a child is born, it brings along a whole new world of possibilities. It takes a while to understand what a newborn might need. Picking up baby essentials is undoubtedly one of the most difficult tasks. And with the markets bombarded with newborn stuff, one tends to be super confused about the same. While there are things of absolute necessity, there are also things that are as useless as they sound. Now with the build-in excitement, we as parents often overlook the most important of things.

When my daughter was born, as expected, I received uncountable gifts from my relatives and friends, some of which I still use. Out of all those, I remember receiving something which proved to be the most useful. It was the Philips Avent bottle warmer gifted by my sister. Initially, I never realized how important it was but as time passed by and my daughter started having multiple feeding sessions in a day, I realized the importance of the same. Also, since my daughter was exclusively formula-fed so we often needed to warm her bottles up at regular intervals. As it is with little babies, your life goes for a toss and you almost forget what resting actually means. Getting up and going to the kitchen every time felt like a punishment.

The Philips Avent bottle warmer made our lives so much easier. Apart from this, there are other factors too that suggest how to bottle warmers can be super helpful

BABIES PREFER WARM MILK – Whether it’s a formula, or breast milk given in a bottle, babies prefer warm milk over room temperature milk. Also, it helps them sleep better.

PRESERVES NUTRIENTS – Again be it formula or breast milk, it should never be heated directly in the microwave as it destroys the key nutrients present in it.

IT’S SAFER – Bottle warmers are definitely safer to use as they maintain a suitable temperature of the milk that babies can easily have. Using other methods might result in overheating the milk.

QUICK SOLUTION – There are times when babies cry uncontrollably because they are hungry. Using a bottle warmer saves much time than other methods. It approximately heats up the bottle in about 3 minutes.

The Philips Avent bottle warmer heats up bottles quickly and evenly in no time. It’s super easy to operate and has a defrost setting too. Not only this, but the same can also be used to warm baby food too. It definitely is small and compact and easily fits on your bedside table to ease life with night feeding sessions. Their products are also BPA, BPA, Sulpher and latex-free, making them particularly safe for my child.

I never felt the need to buy one of these before my little one was born but now if someone asks me now, a bottle warmer is the first product I will suggest them for a newborn. Since it is something I have personally used for around 2 years.
