Slipping your shoes off as soon as you enter the front door is, for some people a step that you should never ever skip. This is why a lot of people impose “NO SHOES IN THE HOUSE RULE”. For a major part of my life, I thought shoes were only restricted because of the dust that they carry along. Now when I’m myself I very well understand the other reasons too.
And I couldn’t agree more with it.
1).SHOES CARRY TOXINS THAT POLLUTE THE AIR IN YOUR HOUSE
Research has shown that often the coal used to build roads can hook on to your footwear and can settle in little nooks and cracks in the floor in your house that results in ultimately polluting the air.So it’s a good habit if shoes are always removed before entering the house. You can even ask your guests politely to follow this practice.Ultimately it is for the well being of everybody.
2).WEARING SHOES ALL THE TIME HOLDS BACK YOUR FEET FROM BEING THE STRONGEST
While obviously everybody wears footwear once they step out of their houses, though this shouldn’t be the same throughout the day.It is said that it’s a good practice to also walk barefoot a few minutes in a day.Walking barefoot keeps the arches strong and also helps in the long run.
3).THEY CONTRIBUTE TO ADDING MORE CLUTTER
Who likes to see their house messy after working hard all day long? We are so dead by the end of the day that we forget to keep the footwear at their designated place and hence add more to the already existing clutter. With following the habit of removing shoes outside/keeping them on their respective shelves we can help ourselves.
4).THEY COULD RUIN YOUR FLOORS OVERTIME
Hard footwear and especially heels are obviously more abrasive than slippers. Our footwear tends to put scratches on the floor and ruin them over a period of time. Also when we come from outside our footwear tend to carry small particles of grit which ultimately result in causing wear and tear on the carpet.
5).THEY CAN PROVE TO BE DANGEROUS FOR KIDS
Having kids in the house is definitely joyous but you also have to be extra careful.Kids often drop food on the floor and also pick the same up and eat it again. With wearing our footwear in we increase the chances of our children catching the infection. Not that otherwise, it’s safe. But yes a little cleaner if the shoes are left outside.
Good one. Though its very difficult to walk barefoot 😉😉
