I had heard a lot about how amazing Singapore is. I got the surprise of my life when my husband surprised me with a holiday to Singapore on my birthday. I was literally on cloud 9. We had around 6 days in hand to explore the city. I had Amaira too with me who was just a year old t that time so I was specifically looking for the best places.

Reliving those beautiful moments I wanted to share with you all the best places to visit in Singapore.

 

THE SINGAPORE FLYER

On our first day I knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to visit he Singapore flyer. I personally thought that it was an excellent way to start because we got a gorgeous view of the entire city. You are made to enter in a glass capsule and it moves really slowly for the viewers to have a thorough look everywhere. The ride lasts for about 30 mins and every minute is definitely worth it.

GARDENS BY THE BAY

Another gorgeous place that cannot be missed at any cost are the gardens by the bay. It is a beautiful park that is spread on around 25 acres of land. It is situated near the marina bay. The garden is divided into different sections with different kinds of landscaping. Once you enter you really feel in the lap of nature. The main highlight of the gardens are super trees which are tall tree like structures. As night descends, the super trees are illuminated and it is just the most beautiful sight in the world.

UNIVERSAL STUDIO

My personal favourite place in the city was UNIVERSAL STUDIO. To have a gala time with your entire family this is the only place to be. The universal studio is divided into different sections namely Hollywood, New york, Sci-fi, Ancient Egypt, Lost world, Far far away and Madagascar. I made sure to not miss a single ride. Also, be sure to buy the express ticket once you have decided to go there. It is slightly expensive than the normal ticket but then it makes you skip all the long queues.

 SENTOSA ISLAND 

  Singapore is not exactly a beach destination but when you are really craving the sun, SENTOSA ISLAND is the place to be. There are endless options in Sentosa island. From underwater world to Merilion, From dolphin show to buying souvenier, from madam tussauds to their magical light show called the wings of time.

ORCHARD ROAD

Finally if you are a mad shopoholic like me, then all you need to do is visit orchard road. You can really shop till you drop there. Orchard Road, Asia’s most famous shopping street, is home to fashion favourites, specialist stores and loads of other lifestyle choices.
