As a mom of a toddler, I know how hard it is to feed them. More than half of your energy vanishes just chasing them throughout the day. Toddlers can really give a hard time when it comes to their meals. Here I have compiled a few recipes for you little fussy eaters.

 

1).MISSI ROTI FOR KIDS

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 CUP WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR
  • 1 CUP GRAM FLOUR
  • 1 TABLESPOON AJWAIN
  • 1 CHOPPED ONION
  • PINCH OF HING
  • SALT TO TASTE
  • OIL
  • WATER

RECIPE

  1. Take all the ingredients like whole wheat flour, gram flour and a pinch of ajwain in a bowl.
  2. Add onion, Hing (a pinch), a spoon of oil
  3. Add water to the mixture
  4. Knead a soft dough out of it
  5. Roll the dough to make small roti

 

2). ROASTED SUJI TOAST

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 CUP ROASTED SUJI
  • 1/2 TO 1 CUP MALAI
  • BROWN BREAD
  • 1 FINELY CHOPPED ONION
  • 1 FINELY CHOPPED CAPSICUM
  • SALT TO TASTE
  • GHEE

RECIPE

  1. Take roasted suji in a bowl and add malai to get a thick consistency
  2. Add finely chopped onions and capsicum
  3. Add salt to taste
  4. Get a smooth consistency by mixing all these and adding a little water if needed
  5. Now apply the mixture to one side of the bread
  6. Heat the tawa and add a little ghee
  7. Put the toast on tawa with the mixture side facing down
  8. Cook on both sides



3).RAWA IDLI

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 CUP SUJI/RAWA
  • 1 ONION FINELY CHOPPED
  • 1 CARROT GRATED
  • 1/2 TO 1 CAPSICUM CHOPPED
  • 1 CUP CURD
  • SALT TO TASTE
  • GHEE FOR GREASING THE IDLI MAKER BASE

RECIPE

  1. Mix all the ingredients mentioned above and keep the mixture aside.
  2. Heat a little water in the idli maker and grease the molds.
  3. Pour 1 large tablespoon of batter into each mold
  4. Heat for 15-17 minutes on medium to high flame.

 

4). RAINBOW RICE

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 CUP RICE THOROUGHLY WASHED
  • HANDFUL OF GREEN PEAS
  • 1/2  ONION
  • 1/2 CAPSICUM
  • 2-3 FLORETS OF CAULIFLOWER
  • 1- 2 INCH PIECE OF CABBAGE
  • 1/2 TBSP OF CUMIN SEEDS
  • SALT TO TASTE
  • 1 TBSP GHEE
  • YOU COULD USE MASHED VEGGIES TOO (OPTIONAL)

RECIPE

  1. Heat cooker and add a tbsp of ghee
  2. Add cumin seeds once the ghee heats up a little
  3. Add green peas and saute on medium flame
  4. Add all the vegetables and saute for 5-7 minutes
  5. Add rice and water accordingly
  6. Close the lid and let it get 5-6 whistles
  7. Avoid opening the lid immediately, Let it sit in steam once it is taken off the flame

 

5). PANEER BHURJI WITH ROTI

INGREDIENTS

  • CRUMBLES PANEER 1 CUP
  • GREEN PEAS 1/2 CUP (OPTIONAL)
  • 1 ONION CHOPPED
  • 1 TOMATO CHOPPED
  • 1 TBSP BUTTER
  • SALT TO TASTE

RECIPE

  1. Heat a saucepan with 1 tbsp butter
  2. Once the butter is heated add peas and cook for 2-3 minutes
  3. Add chopped onion and cook for another 3-4 minutes till the onions turn pink
  4. Add tomatoes and cook until the whole mixture gets mashed together
  5. Add salt and turmeric powder to taste
  6. Add the crumbled paneer and cook on low flame for 5 minutes
  7. Serve with roti
